Twenty-One Troy University Student-Athletes Graduate Friday

TROY, Alabama - Twenty-one Troy University student-athletes received their degrees on Friday during the 2014 Troy University Fall Commencement ceremonies in Trojan Arena.

Over 500 Troy University students, representing 22 states and 15 nations, received their degrees on Friday, including the 21 student-athletes that represented five different sports.

Alumnus, author and finance professional David Mallach deliverd the keynote address for the ceremony. A 1971 marketing and business graduate, Mallach is managing director of investments for Merrill Lynch and has been with the company for more than 40 years. His books include "Moneywork$," "Investment Secrets," Dancing with the Analysts," "Walking with the Analysts," "Running with the Analysts," "Myth," and "The Trillion Dollar Sure Thing."

Many of his Wall Street thrillers revolve around a main character – Johnny Long, so named in honor of Dr. John M. Long, director emeritus of the Sound of the South Marching Band and one of Mallach's mentors.
