TROY, Alabama – Troy University student-athletes donated approximately 2,000 canned goods to the Troy Human Resources Food Bank for use by residents of the Troy community during the holiday season.
Â
"We tell our student-athletes all the time that it's better to give than to receive," Troy University Sports Hall of Fame member and athletic training professor Doc Anderson said. "This is the 10th year we have done this, and it is a great opportunity for our student-athletes to give back to their community."
Â
Each team was charged with a goal of four cans of food per student-athlete and that goal was met and surpassed.Â
