Troy Welcomes Ole Miss to Trojan Arena for White Out

TROY, Alabama – The Troy men's basketball team will host the Ole Miss Rebels on Monday night. The Trojans and Rebels will tip off at 7 p.m., at Trojan Arena. As a part of the white out, the first 3,000 fans will receive a white t-shirt and the first 500 students will also receive a white rally towel.

The Trojans (1-0) are coming off of an 85-71 win over Brewton-Parker at home on Friday night. In their season opener, the Trojans had six players, including all five starters, in double figures. Musa Abdul-Aleem led all scorers with 16 points. In their debuts in a Troy uniform, Wesley Person, Chris Bilbo and John Walton III all posted 12, 15 and 10 points, respectively. Returners Kevin Thomas and Kelton Ford also poured in double-digit points.

Ole Miss (0-1) is coming off of a tough loss at home against Charleston Southern. The Rebels and the Buccaneers went into overtime after they finished regulation time tied at 57. A dunk with 0.1 seconds to play gave Charleston Southern the win over Ole Miss in its season opener.

The Rebels are led by Jarvis Summers, who is the SEC active leader in career points (1,241), assists (373), minutes played (2,953) and wins (66). Ole Miss returns four starters from last year's squad that started a combined 87 games last season and boasts 167 career starts. The Rebels return 62.3 percent of their scoring from last year's squad, 74.5 percent of their assists and 68.2 percent of their total rebounds.

Troy is 0-8 all-time against Ole Miss, which have all taken place in Oxford, Miss. Ole Miss and Troy faced off last season with the host Rebels coming out on top 54-69. Troy had a difficult time on the glass against Ole Miss, as they were out-rebounded 53-38. Thomas led the Trojans with 11 points.
