Trojans in The NFL - Week 5

TroyTrojans.com will take a look at how former Troy football players performed in each week in the NFL. Currently, 11 former Trojans are on active NFL rosters, which is the most of any team in the Sun Belt Conference.

Mario Addison, Carolina Panthers – Came up with a huge sack for the Panthers in their 31-24 victory over the Bears. Sacked Jay Cutler on Chicago's final drive of the game to force a third-and-21. Addison has six tackles and four sacks for the 3-2 Panthers.

DuJuan Harris, Green Bay Packers – Did not record any stats in Green Bay's 42-10 blowout of Minnesota as the Packers moved to 3-2 on the year.

Jerrel Jernigan, New York Giants – Was placed on injured reserve by the Giants after Week 2; will miss the remainder of the season

Elbert Mack, Houston Texans – Recorded a season-high three tackles, all solo, in Houston's overtime loss at Dallas.
Â
Sherrod Martin, Jacksonville Jaguars – Picked up his first tackle of the season in Jacksonville's 17-9 loss to Pittsburgh.

Jonathan Massaquoi, Atlanta Falcons – Broke up a pass in Atlanta's 30-20 loss at the Giants. Has eight tackles and one sack through the Falcons' first five games.

Leodis McKelvin, Buffalo Bills – Finished with five tackles, all solo, and a pass deflection in Buffalo's 17-14 victory at Detroit. McKelvin also returned three punts for 20 yards. Has two interceptions, 28 tackles and a forced fumble through five games.

Steve McLendon, Pittsburgh Steelers – Saw action in Pittsburgh's 17-9 victory at Jacksonville. Has 14 tackles, a sack and three tackles for loss through five games this season.

Brynden Trawick, Baltimore Ravens – Credited with a pair of tackles in Baltimore's 20-13 loss at Indianapolis. Has five tackles on the year.

Osi Umenyiora, Atlanta Falcons – Picked up his first sack of the season in Atlanta's loss at the Giants. Has seven tackles and a sack through the Falcons' first five games of the season.

DeMarcus Ware, Denver Broncos – Continued to terrorize opposing quarterbacks as he finished with a sack, two quarterback hits and three tackles in Denver's 41-20 victory over Arizona. Ware has 3.5 sacks and nine tackles in his first four games as a Bronco; he has 120.5 sacks in his career.
