Trojans Wrap Up Road Trip at Texas State Saturday

SAN MARCOS, Texas – The Troy men's basketball team is looking to snap a three-game skid as the Trojans take on Texas State on Saturday afternoon at 4:30 p.m.

Troy (7-12, 2-5 SBC) fell at UT Arlington on Thursday night, 56-59. The Trojans tied the game up at 56 with 14 seconds to play, but a highly contested trey by Reger Dowell in the final seconds gave UTA the win. Hunter Williams led the Trojans with 19 points on the night.

Antoine Myers leads the Trojans in scoring this season at 12.1 points per game. Kevin Thomas is Troy's top rebounder at 8.1 boards per contest. As a team, Troy is outrebounding its opponents by 6.0 rebounds per game in SBC games, the best average in the league.

Texas State (5-14, 1-5 SBC) has dropped three straight, including a 64-69 loss at UALR on Thursday night. The Bobcats are led by Joel Wright at 14.5 points and 6.2 rebounds per game. As a team, the Bobcats rebound well, outrebounding their opponents by 3.2 boards per contest over the entire season.

Troy has never faced Texas State in men's basketball.
