Â
TROY, Ala. – Troy will travel to Madison, Wis., on Sept. 19, 2015, for a game against Wisconsin, both schools announced Wednesday afternoon. It will be the first meeting between the two schools and Troy's seventh against a current member of the Big 10.
Â
Wisconsin has won three straight Big 10 titles and is in its first season under head coach Gary Andersen. The Badgers, who play their home games in Camp Randall Stadium, have appeared in 11 straight bowl games.
Â
Troy has played a pair of games against schools who were members of the Big 10 at the time of the game (Ohio State and Minnesota) and four games against Nebraska, who was a member of the Big 12 at the time.
Â
In 2008, Troy trailed Ohio State by just four at halftime and the Buckeyes used a pair of fourth quarter touchdowns to win 28-10; Ohio State finished the season 10-3 with a trip the Fiesta Bowl and all three losses coming to teams ranked third or higher.
Â
The game at Wisconsin is Troy's second non-conference game scheduled for the 2015 season as the Trojans travel to Mississippi State the following weekend on Sept. 26.
