Troy Football Appreciation Night & Fan Day Set for August 17

TROY, Ala. – Troy Athletics will hold its annual Football Appreciation Night on Saturday, August 17, at 6 p.m. on the fourth floor of Veterans Memorial Stadium. Football Appreciation Night will follow Fan Day, which starts at 1 p.m. in Trojan Arena.

Fans can purchase tickets for Football Appreciation Night for just $125; each ticket admits two people. The evening will include heavy hors d'oeuvres, complementary beverages and a $10,000 grand prize. For more information or to register call 334-670-3682.

The day will begin at 10 a.m. when the Troy football team will conduct a scrimmage in Veterans Memorial Stadium. The volleyball team will hold a scrimmage in Trojan Arena immediately following Fan Day.

Members of the football, volleyball, soccer and cross country teams will be on hand, along with the Troy cheerleaders and T-Roy, to pose for pictures and sign autographs at Fan Day. Team posters will be provided for fans.

The Trojan Warrior Club will provide free food and drinks. Fans will have an opportunity to purchase season tickets for the 2013 football season and become a member of the Trojan Warriors.

The Troy soccer team opens its season in less than a month with an exhibition game against Auburn-Montgomery on Aug. 15. The Trojan volleyball teams opens competition on Aug. 30 in a tournament at Southern Miss while the cross country teams host the Trojan Invitational that same day.
