Four Trojans Named to WGCA All-America Scholar Golf Team

TROY, Ala. – Troy University women's golfers Sara Fennvik, Taylor McGraw, Brooke Spinks and Langley Vannoy were named to the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-America Scholar Golf Team, the WGCA announced recently.
The honor is the second for Fennvik, McGraw and Vannoy and the first for Spinks. Student-athletes must maintain a grade-point-average of 3.50 or higher, be of high moral character and must play in at least 50 percent of their team's rounds during the academic year.
Vannoy finished second on the team last season with a 77.41 stroke average over her 27 rounds. The rising junior from Pensacola, Fla., shot a season-low 224 at the Sun Belt Championships this past April and finished tied for 12th.
Fennvik, a native of Gothenburg, Sweden, posted a 77.65 stroke average over 26 rounds during her final season with the Trojans. She turned in four top 15 finishes over the course of the season including a season-low 225 at the Sun Belt Championships.
McGraw, a rising junior, played in eight of Troy's tournaments last season and finished the year with a 78.86 stroke average. The Macon, Ga., native shot a 3-over 219 at the Jacksonville Courtyard Classic to finish in second place.
Spinks started the year strong en route to a 78.84 stroke average. The rising junior from Tifton, Ga., tied for eighth at the Jacksonville Courtyard Classic to help Troy to the team title.
