TROY, Ala. – The Troy women's basketball returns home after two games on the road to host Louisiana-Lafayette on Saturday at 5:15 p.m. at Trojan Arena.
Live stats and live video will be available through TroyTrojans.com. Fans in Troy can hear the game on WTBF 94.7 FM as well.
Troy (3-17, 0-11) comes in looking to snap a 10-game losing streak that includes a 98-80 loss at WKU on Wednesday in the Trojans' most recent game. Jasmine Pitts led five Trojans in double figures with a career-high 19 points and eight assists.
The balanced offensive effort wasn't enough to stop a WKU team that shot 60.0 percent for the game and 71.4 percent (15-of-21) after Troy took a 52-51 lead four minutes into the second half.
Joanna Harden was one of the five Trojans in double figures, giving her six straight games of 10 or more points. Over that span, Harden is averaging 21.7 points per game, pushing her season average up to a team-best 13.5 per game. In Sun Belt play, Harden is averaging 17.2 per game, the fifth best mark in the conference.
As a team, Troy still leads the Sun Belt in scoring at 74.8 points per game, a mark that also ranks 16th in the nation. Troy is also the Sun Belt's top rebounding team at 41.7 boards per game.
Louisiana-Lafayette (7-14, 1-11) has lost eight straight games and comes to Troy after a 64-46 home loss to North Texas on Wednesday.
Saturday's game will feature two opposite ends of the scoring spectrum as Louisiana-Lafayette ranks last in the Sun Belt, scoring just 56.5 points per game.
Against North Texas, the Ragin' Cajuns started four true freshmen and one junior college transfer under first-year head coach Gary Brodhead.
Troy comes in to Saturday's game having lost 16 consecutive Sun Belt games, with the last win coming against Louisiana-Lafayette nearly a year ago at Sartain Hall, 58-52.
Troy is 5-5 all-time against Louisiana-Lafayette, including a 4-1 mark in Troy. Troy has won five of the last seven meetings between the two teams.
