Trojans Travel to In-State Foe UAB

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Trojans take back to the road on Thursday night to face in-state rival UAB. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m., inside Bartow Arena.
Troy (1-1) picked up its first win of the season on Monday night, knocking off LaGrange 102-69. Hunter Williams had a tremendous game, setting career-highs with 26 points and eight rebounds.
Antoine Myers had an impressive performance of his own, scoring 20 points on 8-of-8 shooting, something no Trojan has done in over 15 years. Josh Warren chipped in with eight points and 11 boards.
UAB (2-0) enters the game having taken down Rutgers on Monday night, 79-76. Four Blazers scored in double-figures, led by CJ Washington's 18. The Blazers were dominant on the glass, outrebounding the Scarlet Knights 54-27.
Troy has never defeated UAB, falling in six straight times. Last season, the Blazers beat the Trojans 75-55 in Trojan Arena. Williams was the high-scorer for Troy, finishing with 16 points.
