TROY, Ala. – Former Trojans Adam Godwin, Nate Moore and Eric Wikstrom along with radio broadcaster Jerry Miller were forever enshrined in Troy baseball history on Friday night as the group was inducted into the Hall of Honor at Riddle-Pace Field.
Â
"It's a special night and the group we enshrined tonight represents what is great about Troy University and speaks to the commitment that all four honorees have had for Troy baseball," head coach Bobby Pierce said.
Â
Over 60 alumni players were involved at Friday's ceremony and participated in Troy's bi-annual Alumni Game. Also, Troy's 1993 College World Series team, as well as former Hall of Honor members were honored prior to Friday night's induction.

Adam Godwin (2004-05), Outfielder
Â
During his two-year stint at Troy, Godwin terrorized pitchers and catchers by quickly making his mark as one of the program's top hitters and base stealers.
Â
A part of Troy's 2005 Atlantic Sun championship team, Godwin was named the A-Sun's Player of the Year in 2005 and a second team All-American after he lead the country with 84 stolen bases, posted a .367 batting average and became the first Trojan to record 90 hits in a season. At one point during the 2005 season, Godwin stole 27 consecutive base - those 27 bases alone would have left him one stolen base shy of leading the nation.
Â
Godwin finished his career with a school record 112 stolen bases, while ranking sixth in the school history with a .374 batting average and tied for ninth with 11 sacrifice bunts. Godwin, an 11th round pick by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 2005 MLB Draft, currently plays with the Sugar Land Skeeters in the Atlantic Professional Baseball League. He is married to the former Kelly Hawkins, daughter of Troy University Chancellor Dr. Jack Hawkins, Jr.

Jerry Miller, Radio Broadcaster/Supporter
Â
For the past 20 seasons, Troy baseball games have featured the voice and insight of Jerry Miller. A Troy alum and longtime supporter, Miller serves as the color analyst for the Troy IMG Sports Network along with Barry McKnight on Troy's football and basketball broadcasts, as well as home baseball broadcasts and select road games where he calls the middle innings.
Â
In his 20 seasons behind the microphone, Troy has appeared in eight NCAA Regionals, including an appearance in the 1993 Division II World Series in Montgomery. Troy has also won four conference titles, including three Sun Belt Championships since Miller became a part of Troy's broadcast team in 1991.
Â
Nate Moore (2004), Pitcher
In 2004 there was no more dominant pitcher in the late innings than Nate Moore. Moore led the country with a 1.25 ERA that season and began a string of five straight years where a Trojan led the NCAA in a statistical category.
Â
Moore allowed just nine earned runs over 64.2 innings and 32 appearances in 2004. He posted a 9-4 record out of the bullpen and struck out 84 batters (11.8 strikeouts per nine innings).
Â
Moore was named Troy's first-ever first team All-America selection and was drafted in the fourth round by the Kansas City Royals in the 2004 MLB Draft - the second-highest selection for a Trojan pitcher the draft in school history.
Â
Eric Wikstrom (2001-04), Pitcher
Â
Among one of Troy's top starting pitchers in program history, Eric Wikstrom ranks in the top-10 in school history in nine categories. Wikstrom started a single-season record 19 games in 2004 to help lead Troy back to the A-Sun Tournament, while tossing a pair of shutouts and finishing with an 8-4 record.
Â
During his career Wikstrom tossed six shutouts, including three during the 2003 season. Among the all-time leaders at Troy, Wikstrom is tied for second in games started (55), third in strikeouts (224) and innings pitched (326), fourth in career wins (24) and eighth in appearances (61).
