Trojans Take on North Texas

DENTON, Texas – The Troy women's basketball team turns its attention solely to Sun Belt play on Wednesday as the Trojans take on North Texas on the road. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. at the Super Pit.

Troy (3-9, 0-3) will be looking for its first conference win after two close losses at home to two currently unbeaten teams in WKU, 84-81, and Florida Atlantic, 81-80.

The Trojans feature the Sun Belt's top offense at 78.2 points per game and the Sun Belt's top rebounding team at 43.8 boards per game. The Trojans are led by a balanced attack that features five players who average double-figure scoring.

North Texas (2-10, 1-2), like Troy, has lost two close games lately in league play, falling at Middle Tennessee and WKU, each by two points.

The Mean Green are under first-year coach Mike Peterson who comes to North Texas after eight seasons as the head coach at Wake Forest.
