TROY, Ala. – Troy's annual T-Day Spring Game is set for Saturday at 2 p.m. in Veterans Memorial Stadium. Admission to the game is free.
The Trojans opened spring practice on March 18 and have six workouts under their belts heading into T-Day. The Troy players and coaches see Saturday as an opportunity to show the Trojan fans the hard work they have put into the offseason.
“We've challenged our players this offseason to play with more accountability and to get back to championship level football,” head coach Larry Blakeney said. “We are excited to go out Saturday and play in front of the fans on T-Day and continue to keep working hard each day we practice.”
“Saturday we're looking to come out and compete at the highest level and execute the defense,” defensive end Tony Davis said. “T-Day should be exciting, we are expecting a lot of people to come out to the game and we want to put on a good show.”
Troy will take its show on the road next week with a scrimmage in Phenix City, Ala., on Friday, April 6 at 6 p.m. (CDT). The full scrimmage will take place at Central High School and is free to the public.
