GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Troy women's basketball team will look to snap a three-game losing skid as the Trojans travel to take on Florida on Tuesday. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m. CST at the O'Connell Center.

Troy (1-5) enters the contest after dropping a tight game to WKU, 84-81, at home on Saturday night. The Trojans erased a 14-point second-half deficit and led with less than a minute to go but Ashley Beverly-Kelley's 3-point attempt to tie at the buzzer didn't fall.
Beverly-Kelley led four Trojans in double figures with 22 points. Britney McCloud had 15 points, including 13 in the final five minutes to spark the Trojans late run.
True freshman Beverly-Kelley's 13.7 points per game average leads a Troy squad that averages 81.3 points per game, the ninth best mark in the nation. Three other Trojans average double figures, including Kourtney Coleman who leads the team at 7.2 rebounds per game.
Florida (5-3) returns home for the first time in 15 days on a two-game losing streak that includes a loss at Michigan on Saturday. The Gators, who fell to Baylor in the second round of last season's NCAA Tournament, are led this season by Jennifer George who averages a team-high 13.7 points per game and 7.7 rebounds per game.
Troy's game at Florida marks the first of three for the Trojans against SEC opponents this month. Troy will host Alabama (Dec. 15) and travel to Mississippi State (Dec. 29).
Troy is playing three games against the SEC for the first time since 1997-98 (Mississippi State twice, Auburn) and three against power conferences for the first time since 2004-05 (Mississippi State, Providence, Vanderbilt).
