TROY, Ala. – After winning the program's first road game in over a year, the Troy women's basketball team will look to continue its good play as the Trojans host Florida Atlantic at Trojan Arena on Friday.
Tip-off is set for 12 p.m. and admission is FREE. Troy Athletics encourages fans to bring non-perishable food items that will be donated to the Pike County Salvation Army.

Troy (3-7, 0-2) comes into the game after an overtime win at Jacksonville on Tuesday, 88-83. The Trojans trailed by as many as 18 points in the first half, but cut the lead to 10 at halftime and pulled even with just over three minutes remaining in the game.
Troy held a lead late in regulation, but JU forced overtime where the Trojans outscored the Dolphins 15-10. Brooke Bowie led the Trojans with 17 points in 17 minutes off the bench while four other Trojans were in double-figures.
Britney McCloud scored 15 in the game, but had just six at the end of regulation, before scoring 11 in the overtime period, outscoring Jacksonville by herself.
McCloud leads the Trojans in scoring this season as she averages 14.6 points per game, pacing four Trojans in double figures, the only Sun Belt school that can say that.
Troy averages 79.9 points per game, the most in the Sun Belt, and also leads the league in the rebounding with 45.3 boards per game.
Florida Atlantic (5-5, 2-0), like Troy, scores a lot of points as the Owls average 72.1 per game, second in the Sun Belt behind only Troy. However, unlike the Trojans, the Owls averages just 35.0 rebounds per game, the worst mark in the Sun Belt.
The Owls have lost three straight, all to quality opponents. Florida Atlantic dropped its most recent game at home to Stetson, 78-66. That loss came on the heels of a one-point loss at Mississippi State and an overtime defeat at Wisconsin.
Troy trails the all-time series against Florida Atlantic 12-16. The two sides began playing as A-Sun rivals in 1997 and did so until Troy moved to the Sun Belt in 2005. Florida Atlantic moved to the Sun Belt a year later in 2006.
Troy is 7-5 against the Owls in Sun Belt play, but the Trojans have lost five of the last six meetings. Troy is 8-6 all-time against Florida Atlantic at home.
