JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – After a tough loss at home on Saturday, the Troy women's basketball team hits the road for a contest at Jacksonville on Tuesday. The Trojans and Dolphins are set to tip at 4 p.m. CST at Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena.

Troy (2-7) comes into the contest after dropping a close, 80-71, game to Alabama at home on Saturday. The Trojans and Crimson Tide were tied at halftime and Troy trailed by just four with 3:17 to go before Alabama used an 8-0 run to ice the game.
Britney McCloud led the Trojans with 23 points as the junior guard continues to roll. In Troy's last four games, McCloud is averaging 20.3 points per game, boosting her overall season average to a team-best 14.6 points per game.
McCloud has shot 10-of-16 from deep in Troy's last four games and is shooting 52.0 percent from long range on the season, the best mark in the Sun Belt.

In addition to McCloud, three other Trojans are averaging double figures, including Ashley Beverly-Kelley (13.0 ppg) who leads all Sun Belt freshmen in scoring.
Jacksonville (4-5), like Troy, comes in on short rest. The Dolphins defeated Savannah State on home on Sunday, 72-60. Tracie Sneed led JU with 28 points in that contest.
On the season, Jade Cargill leads the Dolphins in scoring at 11.2 points per game and in rebounding with 8.9 boards per game.
