Trojans in the NFL - Week Five

TROY, Ala. - Every Tuesday, TroyTrojans.com will take a look at how former Trojans are performing in the National Football League.
Jerrel Jernigan, New York Giants – Made first career reception by catching a six-yard pass in the third quarter from Giants quarterback Eli Manning.
Sherrod Martin, Carolina Panthers – Picked up five tackles, four solo stops, in the Panthers' loss to the Seattle Seahawks.
Elbert Mack, New Orleans Saints – Did not play in Saints' home win on Sunday night against the San Diego Chargers.
Jonathan Massaquoi, Atlanta Falcons – Was inactive for Atlanta's 31-24 win on the road at Washington.
Leodis McKelvin, Buffalo Bills – Returned a kickoff for 58 yards and a punt return that went for an 80-yard touchdown, but was nullified by a holding penalty. McKelvin was credited with a 28-yard return.
Steve McLendon, Pittsburgh Steelers – Picked up first sack of the season and forced a fumble in Steelers' 16-14 win over the Philadelphia Eagles.
Lawrence Tynes, New York Giants – Made all five extra points and hit a 29-yard and a 40-yard field goal in the New York Giants' home win against the Cleveland Browns. Through the first five weeks of the season, Tynes has made 13-of-14 field goal attempts, which is tied for the most made field goals in the league.
Osi Umemyiora, New York Giants – Recorded four tackles, one quarterback hurry, and picked up a pass deflection in the Giants' win against the Cleveland Browns.
DeMarcus Ware, Dallas Cowboys – Ware and the Cowboys were off during Week Five. The former Troy defensive end is tied for the league-lead in forced fumbles (3) and is tied for eighth in the NFL in sacks (5.0).
