Volleyball Performs Well in Classroom

TROY, Ala. – Although their season has passed, the Troy volleyball team is still working hard and finding success, this time in the classroom.

In a semester that included a trip to the Sun Belt Tournament in Miami, the Trojans also performed well in the classroom as they posted a 3.54 team GPA for the fall semester.

Twelve different Troy volleyball players earned at least a 3.0 GPA last semester, including Kayla Pickart and Kelley Curran who each earned a 4.0 GPA.

All 12 Troy volleyball players, along with 206 other student-athletes that earned a 3.0 GPA or better in the fall, will be recognized at Thursday's home men's basketball game.

The game tips off at 7:30 p.m. and Troy's record number of 218 student-athletes that earned 3.0 GPAs in the fall will be honored at halftime.
