After months of anticipation, Troy University football fans are now only hours away from the return of Trojan football to Veterans Memorial Stadium.
The Trojans will host Sun Belt Conference rival Middle Tennessee on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. in the annual “Battle for the Palladium” in a game that will be televised as the Sun Belt Network Game of the Week on CSS and Cox Sports TV.
In addition to the game, Trojan Fans will notice a number of changes to game day operations. In an effort to enhance the football game experience and to increase the safety of pedestrians, several changes will be made for game day traffic. All information regarding road closures and changes to traffic flow are included as attachments to this email.
Fans will also notice changes to the pre-game ritual known as “Trojan Walk.” The Sound of the South will begin marching up University Avenue towards Trojan Arena to meet the team at 1:15 p.m. The team will then proceed down University Avenue, through Tailgate Terrace, and enter at Gate 1 of Veterans Memorial Stadium. The student body will comprise the first phase of the walk, followed by the Sound of the South, and ending with Alumni, Fans, and Supporters. A diagram of the procession is included as an attachment to this email.
