Troy goes for home win number 30 on Tuesday in the final game of the season at Riddle-Pace Field when Samford visits at 6 pm.
The Trojans (37-15) currently hold a home record of 29-5, the best for a Troy team since 1990. 30 wins on their home field would set a new high-mark for the program.
Samford (32-20) took the first meeting between the two clubs 6-1 on March 1. Troy pitchers struck out 14 Bulldog batters, but the Trojans were held to just one run.
Troy leads the all-time series 34-16, including a 16-7 mark in head coach Bobby Pierce's tenure. The Trojans are 20-4 against Samford at Riddle-Pace.
This week's Sun Belt Player of the Week Tyler Hannah leads Troy with a .368 batting average and 25 doubles. Adam Bryant and Blake Martz are tied for the team lead with seven home runs.
Bryant leads the team with 52 RBI.
