Friday Night's Contest Suspended

Will Pick Up on Saturday at 12 pm CST
BOCA RATON - Friday night's series opener between Troy and Florida Atlantic was suspended with one out in the fourth inning. It will begin again on Saturday at 12 pm CST.
The game was stopped due to rain and lightning with one out in the fourth inning following a double by third baseman Tyler Hannah.
The 22nd-ranked Trojans put up six runs in the second inning to take a commanding lead. Troy sent 12 batters to the plate in the inning as the squad racked up eight hits.
Included in the big inning was a two-RBI single by Logan Pierce and a double by Ali Knowles that plated a pair of runs.
Florida Atlantic got three runs in the third inning on three hits and an error. The big blow was a single by Alex Hudak that chased home a pair of base runners.
Troy's big inning ended the day of Owls starting pitcher Ryan Garton after just 1.1 innings. Tyler Ray, Troy's starter, will still be active when the game resumes on Saturday.
