The Trojans will be heading to Bowling Green, Ky. this Friday to compete in the Sun Belt Conference Championships held on the campus of Western Kentucky University.
The season began in early September as the Trojans held the 4th annual Troy Invitational, and ended when the Trojans held the 12th annual Coach “O” Invitational in mid October.
“We've come a long way from the beginning of the season,” said Coach Casey McDermott.
Coach McDermott would not reveal her strategies for the last two weeks of training, but said they would be ready to go at conference.
The women's team has been predicted to finish 9th overall in the Sun Belt Championships, but they have hopes they will outdo the predictions.
“We are continually getting better,” said Junior Morgan Paulson. “I think we are going to do great at conference, even with the injuries we've faced.”
Paulson has continued to be a strong performer for the lady Trojans, and has finished first for the Trojans every meet this year.
The men's team has been predicted to finish 10th overall in the Sun Belt Championships, and they too want to go into this meet looking to disprove predictions.
“We're all looking to have our best times this weekend,” said Sophomore David Hudman.
