Troy Heads East To Compete In Final Tournament Of 2010

Trojans face Coastal Carolina, Kennesaw State and Presbyterian over the weekend

TROY, Ala. - The Troy University volleyball team plays in the final regular season tournament of the season, opening play Friday afternoon when they play in the Owl Invitational hosted by Kennesaw State University.
"We are looking forward to getting back on the court this weekend," head coach Sonny Kirkpatrick said. "I am eager to see how much we have improved."
The tournament will feature Coastal Carolina, Kennesaw State, Presbyterian, Ohio State and the Trojans. This will be the fourth consecutive weekend tournament that Troy has competed in, with only two non-tournament matches played to date.
Troy will open the tournament when they play Coastal Carolina at 12 pm Friday afternoon, their only match of the day. The Trojans will get a break before playing host Kennesaw State at 12 pm on Saturday afternoon, and will close out the tournament Saturday night when they play Presbyterian at 5 pm.
All tournament times are eastern.
Troy (4-8) will once again hit the road after the tournament when they travel to Louisiana to open conference play by facing Louisiana-Lafayette and ULM.
