If you are a Troy football fan who, for whatever reason, has never purchased premium season tickets to see the Trojans play at Veterans Memorial Stadium, you now have a great reason to finally step up.
Maybe you are a recent graduate who is thinking of buying season tickets for the first time. If so, your timing is impeccable.
Beginning on Wednesday morning, July 14, the first 30 Trojan fans to make a first-time purchase of regular priced premium season tickets for Troy football will receive a special edition Troy cap autographed by the Trojans head coach, Larry Blakeney.
There is a limit of one cap per customer and there is a July 30 deadline. Only a limited number of premium seats remain for the 2010 season to see the four-time defending Sun Belt Conference Champion Trojans. Premium seats at Veterans Memorial Stadium include Stadium Club, chair backs and bench back seats.
The 2010 season also marks Coach Blakeney's 20th season at Troy. He has a 153-77-1 career record, a mark which includes a 39-5 record at Veterans Memorial Stadium since the program became Division I (FBS) in 2001. The Trojans have the fourth best home winning percentage in all of Division I football during that time.
Troy will play five home games in 2010, hosting Bowling Green from the Mid-American Conference in the season opener on Sept. 4, following by games against Arkansas State (Sept. 25), UL Lafayette (Oct. 16), FIU (Nov. 13) and Western Kentucky (Nov. 27).
