Welcome to the NEW Troy University Athletics official web site. The launch of the newly redesigned TroyTrojan.com comes after months of planning and work and we hope that it will provide all Trojans an improved experience when you are looking for information.
Obviously the site has a new look, but along with the look are many new and improved features – some of which will be obvious to Troy fans and others that will only be available to the staff members who work on the site on a daily basis.
Before we go too far, however, Troy Athletics would like to express its gratitude to the folks at JumpTV/Neulion, who have been our web partners for the last three years. Anyone who remembers our site from the period prior to 2007 would have to agree that TroyTrojans.com came a long way during our time with Jump.
Moving forward, everyone who works on the Troy Athletics web site is excited about our new partnership with ICS Sidearm. Talks with ICS took place as far back as two years ago and it good to see all of those discussions leading to fruition.
“We are honored to work with Troy University, a university steeped in tradition both academically and athletically and was easy to showcase all of its strengths with the new www.troytrojans.com website," said SIDEARM Sports Director of Operations, Jamie Joss. "Successful partnerships are built on listening to the needs of our clients and we try to assist in capturing the vision of Troy Athletics and the fast-moving and dynamic nature of collegiate athletics, student-athletes, coaches and administrators.
“Our goal with all clients is to develop cutting-edge technology from an operations perspective in managing the site, while balancing that focus with features that add to the alumni, parent and fan experience. Troy's Athletic Media Relations department has done an excellent job of translating their commitment to excellence in collegiate athletics with presentation of the site you see today!”
Much of the credit for the design of the new site goes to Assistant Director of Athletics Media Relations Travis Jarome. He has worked tirelessly with the folks at ICS for the last month to get the site ready for launch, and he will continue to be the point man as new features are added and come online in the coming weeks.
As you take a look around the new site, take some time to find the new features that are included. Obviously the site has a refreshed look, but there are many other new and improved features. Those include: SMS service, scrolling scoreboard for recent and live events, Trojan polls, Athletes of the Week, improved live game statistics, improved video content, dynamic new photo galleries and mobile content
There are far too many new features to mention and, the best part is that more is on the horizon.
Please take some time to look around the new site and don't hesitate to let us know if you come across a problem, broken link or just have a suggestion to improve the site.
Our hope is that all Troy fans will enjoy the new site and make it their home for finding all the information they need on the Trojans.
