The Trojans face WKU and Middle Tennessee with just four matches left in the season

TROY, Ala. - The Troy University Trojans volleyball heads north this weekend to face the top two teams in the East Division, WKU on Friday and Middle Tennessee on Saturday, with just four matches left in the regular season. It will be the second meeting with both schools.

"It's always exciting to play the top teams in the conference, and we get to do that this weekend," head coach Sonny Kirkpatrick said. "We are looking forward to representing the university this weekend and we are going to enjoy the challenge."

Troy (10-19, 2-8 Sun Belt) faces the Lady Toppers of WKU (23-6, 12-1 Sun Belt) Friday night at 7 pm, with WKU holding a 12-0 series advantage overall. The Lady Toppers defeated Troy 3-0 back on October 9 in Sartain Hall.
The Trojans then head to Murfreesboro to face the Blue Raiders of Middle Tennessee (22-5, 12-1 Sun Belt) at 7 pm on Saturday. Middle Tennessee leads the all-time series 12-1, and in their last meeting defeated Troy 3-0 back on October 8 in Sartain Hall.
Troy is led in conference play this season by senior Megan Henderson, junior Natasha Kolunija and freshman Courtney Cohen. Henderson has recorded 358 assists, averaging 8.14 assists/set; and has also recorded a .333 attack percentage.

Meanwhile, Kolunija has recorded 110 kills - averaging 2.50 kills/set - and a .219 attack percentage. Despite having to sit out for two matches, Cohen continues to lead the charge for the Trojans on the defensive side recording 142 digs, averaging 4.44 digs/set.
