A look at former Troy University players at the next level
Here is a look back at the week that was in the National Football League, featuring former Troy University Trojans in action:
Gary Banks, WR, San Diego – Banks caught his first career pass in Week 8 against the Titans. Banks, who was signed from the practice squad on Saturday, had a 2-yard reception from quarterback Phillip Rivers in Sunday's 33-25 win.
Levi Brown, QB, Buffalo – Did not see action, listed as the third-string quarterback in overtime loss at Kansas City on Sunday.
Brandon Lang, LB, San Diego – Lang saw action on special teams Sunday against the Titans, did not play on defense.
Elbert Mack, DB, Tampa Bay – Did not play as he still recovering from a toe injury.
Sherrod Martin, DB, Carolina – Started against the Rams and recorded nine tackles in the 20-10 loss. Eight of the nine tackles were solo on Sunday.
Leodis McKelvin, DB, Buffalo – Started against the Chiefs and recorded six tackles. Five of the six tackles were solo on Sunday.
Steve McLendon, DT, Pittsburgh – Activated from the practice squad and saw action on Sunday.
DeMarcus Ware, LB, Dallas – Started at outside linebacker against Jacksonville on Sunday, but was unable to record a tackle in the Cowboys' loss.
