Trojans Face Middle Tennessee and WKU This Weekend

Troy faces two of the perennial favorites this weekend in conference action

TROY, Ala. - The Troy University Trojans volleyball team hosts perennial favorites Middle Tennessee and WKU this weekend in Sun Belt Conference action, coming off a non-conference victory Wednesday night.
Troy (10-11, 2-2 Sun Belt) will face the Blue Raiders of Middle Tennessee Friday night at 7 pm, with MTSU leading the all-time series 11-1. The only win by the Trojans came in a tournament in 1995, prior to them joining the Sun Belt Conference.
Meanwhile, Troy will be back in action on Saturday afternoon at 3 pm to face the Lady Toppers of WKU. Troy has never been able to beat the Lady Toppers, as they lead the series 11-0.
Troy has been quite successful in conference play thus far this season, with victories over ULM and UALR. Their only two defeats in conference play have come against Louisiana-Lafayette and Arkansas State. The last time Troy started with an even .500 record through four matches was just last, and the Trojans ended up 7-10 and finishing ninth overall in the conference.
Troy is led in conference play by senior Megan Henderson and juniors Natasha Kolunija and Brittany McClelland.
Henderson has recorded 136 assists; averaging 9.71 assists/set, 57 digs, and has recorded a .377 attack percentage in just four matches. Meanwhile, Kolunija has recorded 43 kills and a .293 attack percentage, as well as seven blocks and 11 digs. McClelland has been a spark late in the season, recording 39 kills, averaging 2.79 kills/set, has a .292 attack percentage, with nine blocks and nine digs in conference play.
