Trojans In The NFL In Week Seven

Several former Troy University football players were in action this past week in the NFL
Here is a look back at the week that was in the National Football League, featuring former Troy University Trojans in action:
Levi Brown, QB, Buffalo Bills – Did not see action against the Baltimore Ravens. Currently listed as the number three quarterback on the depth chart.
Jorrick Calvin, DB, Philadelphia Eagles – Saw action as Philadelphia's main kick and punt returner. Recorded two kick returns for 63 yards with a long of 41. Added two punt returns for 16 yards with a long of 16 yards.
Brandon Lang, LB, San Diego Chargers – Saw action on special teams for the Chargers against the New England Patriots on Sunday.
Elbert Mack, DB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Did not play on Sunday against the St. Louis Rams, still recovering from a foot injury that sidelined him two weeks ago.
Sherrod Martin, DB, Carolina Panthers – Started the game as a defensive back. Martin recorded three total tackles, including two solo tackles against San Francisco.
Leodis McKelvin, DB, Buffalo Bills – Started the game at cornerback, recording three tackles – all solo – against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday.
Lawrence Tynes, K, New York Giants – Tynes was kicking with a bum ankle in the Week 7 Monday night win over the Cowboys in Dallas. He still managed to nail a career-best 53-yard field goal in the victory. Tynes finished 2 for 2 on field goals and was 5 for 5 on extra points for a total of 11 points on the Monday night game.
Osi Umenyiora, DE, New York Giants – Umenyiora was relatively quiet in Week 7 against the Cowboys. Umenyiora finished with just two tackles, both solo in the 41-35 win.
DeMarcus Ware, DE, Dallas Cowboys – Ware had another productive game in Week 7 against the Giants. Despite only recording three tackles, the 28-year-old recorded a sack for the fourth straight game in the 41-35 loss. Ware got to Giants quarterback Eli Manning in the second half and forced his first fumble of the year. He also recovered a fumble in the defeat.
