Happy Holidays to all of the Trojans Warriors on the world wide web! It is an exciting time to be a Trojan, and more excitement is just around the corner.
Your Troy University Trojans football team captured its fourth consecutive Sun Belt Conference title this year and are going bowling for the fourth time in six seasons. We are all looking forward to spending part of our holidays at the GMAC Bowl, and nothing would make our time in Mobile better than to have you there to celebrate with us.
The majority of the money schools receive from playing in a bowl game comes in the form of tickets. The more tickets to the game the school sells, the more money it makes.
For Troy, bowl ticket sales are the lifeblood of bowl trips. That is why it is so vitally important for all Troy fans to purchase tickets to this years' GMAC Bowl through the Troy University Athletics Ticket Office.
Even if you can't make it to Mobile to enjoy the bowl with us, buy tickets to support the program and give them as Christmas gifts, or donate them back to the University to help cover the costs of tickets for the Sound of the South.
We have made purchasing tickets to the GMAC Bowl easier to purchase than ever. There are three ways you can buy tickets to the game and support the Trojans.
1. Go online to www.TroyTrojans.com and follow the link to purchase your tickets directly.
2. Call the Troy Athletics Ticket Office at 877-878-9467 to place an order for tickets.
3. Come to the Troy Athletics Ticket Office, located in the Davis Field House, in person and purchase tickets.
Online ticket orders can be made 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The Troy Athletics Ticket Office is open from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday through Friday leading up to bowl week.
As an extra incentive to purchase your GMAC Bowl tickets from Troy University, the first 1,000 orders received will receive a complimentary commemorative “100-year” print suitable for framing. This print celebrates the first 100 years of football at Troy University.
Also, fans who order their tickets through the Troy Athletics Ticket Office will receive free admission to the Alumni Tailgate at the Stadium on game day.
All seats at the GMAC Bowl are reserved and will be assigned based on priority. Season ticket holders who are also Trojan Warriors will be seated first, people who are season ticket holders or Trojan Warriors will be seated second and all others will be seated third.
Troy University students can also purchase tickets for the GMAC Bowl for just $15. All student tickets much be purchased in person from the Troy Athletics Ticket Office and students are required to show their student identification.
Student tickets will also be available Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday this week at the Adams Student Center from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. each day. Students who purchase their tickets at the student center will have a chance to have their picture taken with “football” Santa and his elves. Photos will be available online at www.TroyTrojans.com.
Remember, it is vitally important, not just for this years' bowl trip, but for all future bowl trips by the Trojans, for us to be able to show bowl committees across the country that when they have Troy University in their game, they can count on the Trojan Nation to show up and support their team.
