TROY - The Trojan volleyball team is looking to students and members of the Troy community this week as they try to raise the awareness of breast cancer, by selling T-shirts and take donations.
The team will be all around campus and town this week as they try to raise awareness of breast cancer. They will be selling T-shirts and taking donations for the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation.
Susan G. Komen for the Cure is the global leader of the breast cancer movement, having invested more than $1 billion since inception in 1982. The organization is the world's largest grassroots network of breast cancer survivors and activists.
The players will be in the Trojan Center on campus everyday this week from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. selling T-shirts for $10 and taking any other donations.
They will also be at Hardee's on Highway 231 in Troy on Tuesday from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. selling T-shirts and taking donations. You can also buy your T-shirt and make donations at various homecoming events throughout the week.
The week will be capped off on Friday night when the Trojans play host to Denver at Trojan Arena at 7 p.m. The team is encouraging everybody in attendance to "Think Pink" while supporting their Trojans.
All fans on Friday night are encouraged to wear their shirts that they purchased earlier in the week in order to do their part in raising breast cancer awareness. T-shirts will be sold at the match and additional donations will also be taken. All money raised will go to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation.
If you're not going to be in Troy this week, you can donate to Susan G. Komen for the Cure through the Troy Volleyball Donation Page above.
Admission to the match on Friday is FREE and the Trojans are hoping to pack the house and raise breast cancer awareness. Be Loud, Be Proud, and Wear Pink.
