Meghan Gilroy Named Player of the Week

NEW ORLEANS, La. - Junior Meghan Gilroy has been selected as the Player of the Week, announced by the Sun Belt Conference office Monday afternoon.

Gilroy was named the to the Tiger Invitational All-Tournament Team after posting double-digit kills in each of the four matches of the event. She recorded a season-high 18 kills against Indiana State and posted an attack percentage of .385, prior to recording a 12-kill performance in a four-set victory over IUPUI that same afternoon.

On Saturday, Gilroy responded with 17 kills in a four-set victory over Iona, with an attack percentage of .467 and finished the tournament with a 16-kill performance against the host team Memphis Saturday night. Her performance over the weekend more-than doubled her kill output through the first weekend of the season.

Troy (4-3) battles in-state rival Auburn Tuesday night at Trojan Arena in a key non-conference battle.
