After the first week of practice, players are starting to heal their wounds, work on the details and still trying to beat the heat.
If one were to go into the training room during treatment, they would see a lot of familiar faces because this camp seems to be more intense then the others I have previously taken part in.
On the offensive side of the ball, a good majority of the offense has been installed and a lot of the young guys are picking it up fairly quickly. Charles "Chip" Reeves and TeBiarus Gill are both quick learners. All of the returners are building from last year and continuing to get better.
With the up coming heat wave, most players are trying to avoid the heat. If you have been on campus lately, you will notice that a lot of the player have the electric scooters to get around campus.
Most player bought the scooters to save gas and to beat the heat, but there is a funny story with those. When we were getting lunch after two-a-days yesterday (Monday), some of the members in the band called some of us lazy for using the scooters. I just thought that was funny.
But, this is a quick week one overview, so, until next time ...
