3:30 p.m.
Welcome to the first installment of a daily blog detailing the happenings around the Troy Athletics equipment room. I hope that through this blog you will gain an understanding about the duties of a student equipment manager, I also hope you will enjoy reading this blog.
The managers reported to work Monday at 8:30 a.m. to prepare for the first round of players reporting for the start of camp. They began filing in at around 10 a.m. The players first reported to the equipment room to get fitted for pads and other equipment, receive the combinations for their locks in the locker room and to their issue bins.
Afterwards, they reported to the old weight room to receive some items we provide all of them at the start of camp every summer. Finally, they moved to the storage room to get shoulder pads, cleats and other equipment. The number of players coming in has fluctuated throughout the day, with the most of them coming in around 1 p.m. Things have pretty much died out now.
Tomorrow is Picture Day for the team, which means it will be another long day for us in the equipment room. I will be back tomorrow to tell you about our day.
Until later,
Jeff
