Trojans Shine on Sun Belt Honor Rolls

NEW ORLEANS, La. ? The Sun Belt Conference announced its Academic Honor Roll and Commissioner's Lists for the 2007-08 academic year and Troy University is well represented.
The Trojans placed 63 athletes on the Academic Honor Roll, which recognizes student athlete who maintain a grade point average between 3.0 and 3.5 for the previous two semesters or three quarters.
Another 55 Troy University students were named to the Commissioner's List, which recognizes individuals who maintain a grade point average 3.5 to 4.0 over the previous two semesters or three quarters.
The total of 118 Trojans on the two lists represents more than 30 percent of the total Troy University student-athletes eligible for recognition. The Sun Belt Conference does not offer rodeo as a sport, so those athletes were not included on the honor roll.
The 118 Trojans were also part of the more than 1,500 student-athletes from around the Sun Belt named to the two lists, surpassing the record for one year.
