Time to Pack The Stands
11/22/2008 6:00:00 AM | Football

I remember last year being on the sideline, as a redshirt, watching us lose to FAU.
I remember last year being on the sideline knowing that we weren't going to a bowl game.
I remember hearing that an 8-4 team wouldn't be going to a bowl: us.
I remember going home on December 9th, 2007, for a month, explaining to everyone why I wasn't getting ready for a bowl.
In
the spring, the team set our number one goal to be back to New Orleans
Bowl. I'm confident we will move another step closer to that goal today. It will be a great, cold game. I look forward to it.
I don't think you need my words to make you go to the game this weekend, but if you do:
Pack the stands. We need every person we can get in the stadium.
It will be cold. I can see my grandma choosing not to come to the game because of the cold, but ye be no man if ye sight the cold as your reason for not coming.
We will get a few days this next week for Thanksgiving, and I plan to be out on Tampa Bay with Danny Franks -- hot, warm, cold, freezing, or any weather -- to do some fishing, unless it's raining.
Get out in your tree stands in the morning for the deer, take a nap, and then you can come to the game.
