MONROE, La. - The Troy Trojans volleyball team begins a three-match road trip in the state of Louisiana, beginning with the Warhawks here Thursday evening.
Troy (9-11, 0-5 Sun Belt) will be playing their 16th road match of the season after traveling on Interstate 20 into Louisiana to face the Warhawks of Louisiana-Monroe (1-17, 0-4 Sun Belt). The Trojans are in the midst of six-match losing streak, and will look to end that streak against a Louisiana-Monroe team that they are 4-0 against all-time in school history.
After the match with the Warhawks, Troy will travel down Interstate 49 to southern Louisiana to face Louisiana-Lafayette, a team the Trojans head into the match tied at 3-all in the series. The Ragin' Cajuns head into the match after splitting their last two conference matches of the season on the road.
The three-match road streak will end with the Trojans traveling east on Interstate 10 to the University New Orleans, where the Privateers own a 7-0 advantage in the series all-time with Troy.
By the time the weekend is over, the Trojans will have traveled an estimated 713.66 miles or almost 13 hours of travel time on the bus before returning home for a two-match homestand next weekend.
