Strong Short Game Should Help

The girls are back in action this week as they travel to Mississippi to compete in the Lady Colonel Collegiate hosted by Nicholls State University. As the girls go into the next to last tourney of the Fall season I have very high expectations!
I expect the team to play very well because scores in qualifying last week were pretty good. This year, there is a great deal of competition on the team and it is definitely helping to improve our scoring in tournament play.
The Lady Trojans are coming off the best round of the season, which was a 304 in the first round of the South Florida tournament.
Nikki Crowley posted the low round for the team in South Florida and I am expecting to see even better results as she goes into her second tournament of the season.
I spoke with some of the girls last night and they seemed to feel good about everything going into the first round. I was told that the course is playing pretty short, which should play in our favor. We have been spending a great deal of our time on short game and I feel confident that the girls will let the length of the course play to their advantage.
