Trojans Host Louisiana-Monroe Thursday Night

TROY, Ala. - The Troy University Trojans host the University of Louisiana Monroe on Thursday night at Trojan Arena. The game tips off at 5:15 p.m. and is the final game of a three-game homestand.
Troy (10-10, 3-6 SBC) has split the first two games of the homestand; falling to Arkansas-Little Rock last Thursday night and defeating Louisiana-Lafayette Sunday afternoon. The Trojans are 1-3 all-time against Louisiana-Monroe (12-7, 5-3 SBC), but did win the game last season in Monroe.
The game can be heard on WTBF-94.7 FM Thursday night.

TROJAN STORYLINES
The Trojans snapped a three-game losing streak, defeating Louisiana-Lafayette Sunday afternoon ... the last time the Trojans suffered a three-game losing streak, they bounced back to win consecutive games in December and January ... the Trojans are just 1.5 games out of third place in the East, trailing South Alabama and Florida International (both losses) ... if the season were to end today, the Trojans would travel to North Texas to face the Mean Green in the first round ... the Trojans top three scorers, Laura Lee Holman (concussion), Amy Lewis (foot) and Kylie Morrissy (head) have all been banged up over the last three games, with the Arkansas-Little Rock being the only game all three have played at the same time.
ON THIS DATE IN TROJANS HISTORY
Troy is 3-2 all-time on this date in their history of playing women's basketball ... the first time the Trojans played on this date was against Spring Hill College in 1981, defeating the Badgers 70-52 in Trojan Arena ... they did not play on this date again until 1990, defeating AUM in Troy, 87-73 ... Troy lost their first game on this date, falling to Auburn in 1996, 90-64 at home ... they rebounded to defeat Mercer 57-56 in 1998, before fall to North Texas last season on the road, 68-53.

During that season, the Trojans lost to North Alabama on the 24th, defeated Montevallo on the 27th and defeated Spring Hill on the 31st.
