Trojans Defeat the Owls

BOCA RATON, Fla. - The Troy volleyball team defeated Florida Atlantic in three games Saturday night to improve to 11-10 on the season and split the weekend road trip to Florida.
The Trojans (11-10) ended their weekend with a win against the Owls (6-9) with scores of 30-22, 30-19 and 35-33.
Troy started its weekend with a hard-fought match against Florida International, losing 3-1. However, on Saturday night, the Trojans bounced back with their “never quit” attitude and took the win in their fifth conference match, improving to 2-3 in league play.
Meghan Gilroy led Troy in kills with 14 with a .423 attack percentage, while Megan Henderson recorded 46 assists in the win.
The Trojans return home on Friday to host Louisiana-Lafayette. Match time is set for 7 p.m.
Troy will also host New Orleans on Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m.
Following Saturdays game the Trojans will be competing against Louisiana-Monroe on Sunday at 1:00 p.m.
