Trojans ink Laura Mackley

TROY, Ala. - Troy University volleyball coach Sonny Kirkpatrick announced the signing of Laura Mackley for the upcoming season.
Mackley, a native of Centerburg, Ohio, played four years of varsity volleyball for Centerburg High School. As a senior, she was named First Team All-Conference and the Conference Player of the Year. She was named First Team All-District and District Player of the Year, earning All-State honors in her final season of competition. She was named to the Newark Invitational All-Tournament Team, and participated in District and State level All-Star matches.
During her junior season, she was named First Team All-Conference and Conference Player of the Year. She also earned her first berth on the All-District Team and won her first District Player of the Year award. She was named Second Team All-State and named to the Newark Invitational All-Tournament Team. As a sophomore, Mackley was named Second Team All-Conference.
Mackley is a four-year scholar-athlete and President of the National Honors Society.
