The job swap is something that the community has been doing for a long time. One half of the day the farmer does your job and in the afternoon you spend the day on the farm.
“This is a chance for me to see what its like outdoors,” Pierce said. “This morning, I'm a baseball coach. This afternoon, I'm a farmer.”
Pierce is swapping jobs with Larry Richardson.
“I think this week keeps the city in touch with the community,”
“I love to farm,”
“I went through the new baseball facility and I was amazed at what I saw,”
Pierce will spend the afternoon moving hay and riding on a tractor.
“This whole experience will give each person an appreciation of what the other person does on a daily basis,” Pierce said. “I am looking forward to feeding some cattle and learning the tools of the trade.”
