New Orleans Defeat Trojans in Five Game Match

TROY, Ala - The Troy volleyball team continued their weekend play on Saturday with a loss to the University of New Orleans.
The Trojans played in a five game match with scores of 15-30, 15-30, 30-26, 30-27, and 10-15.
Fellow Trojan Meghan Gilroy led the team in kills with 18. Megan Henderson recorded 42 assists but could not top the Privateers for a victory.
Troy fell short in games one and two, but bounced back in game three and fourth to take the win. During the fifth game the scores were close, but the Trojans could not hold to UNO.
"The girls did not play to their potiential this afternoon. The decided that they wanted to compete during the third and fourth game, but fell short in the fifth," Head Coach Sonny Kirkpatrick said.
Troy will be back in action Sunday afternoon at 1:00 competing against Louisiana-Monroe.
