The Troy University Cheerleaders will host an open gym event on February 18, 2007, March 11, 2007 and April 1, 2007 from 2pm to 5pm in Wright Hall Gym. This event will give anyone that is interested in cheering for Troy University for the 2007-2008 season an opportunity to meet the current cheerleaders and start finding a stunt partner or group for the upcoming tryouts to be held April 13-15, 2007.

TRYOUTS FOR 2007-2008 TROY UNIVERSITY CHEERLEADING SQUADS
All tryout activities will be held in Trojan Arena and are closed to the public.

(check-in and warm-up)
The gym will be opened again at 2 pm. You will then have an opportunity to find a stunt partner or group for stunt tryouts in the evening at 7 pm.

TRYOUT REQUIREMENTS
Male: Co-ed Stunts and tumbling
Female: All-girl Stunts, tumbling, cheer, chant, and dance
It is recommended that you have mastered the following skills prior to trying out at Troy.
Stunts:

SQUAD COMPOSITION
Numbers on selective squads are subject to change at the discretion of the cheer coach.
SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION
Cardinal:
The individuals selected as a cardinal squad cheerleader will receive a scholarship (amount to be determined) divided into two academic semesters. This squad cheers for home & away football games, men's basketball, all related pep rallies and activities, any competitions approved by the coach, and any other events or games approved by coach.
Black:
The individuals selected as a black squad cheerleader will receive a scholarship (amount to be determined) divided into two academic semesters. This squad cheers for home football games, women's basketball games, all related pep rallies and activities, any competitions approved by the coach, and any other events or games approved by coach.
T-Roy:
The individual(s) selected as T-Roy will receive a scholarship (amount to be determined) divided into two academic semesters. Mascot performs at all football, basketball (men's & women's), all related pep rallies and activities, any competitions, other events or games approved by coach.
