Troy Volleyball Adds Three for 2007

Megan Henderson, Loni Beth Jones and Emily Strader are high school seniors who will join the Trojans in 2007.
Henderson is a two-year letterwinner at Seton High School where under coach Kerry Butkovich she helped lead the Saints to a Regional Runner-up finish in 2006 and a State Championship in 2005.
Henderson was named 2nd team all-league, 3rd team all-city, and all-state honorable mention and participated in the city senior all-star match in 2006. She also received a city Senior Academic Award. Henderson is a member of the National Honor Society at Seton High School and plays for the Club Team Z.
Jones is a four-year letterwinner at Madison County High School under coach Redena Clemons. She received the West Morgan Coaches Award, all-state honorable mention, named all-county and the 4A Regional Tournament and Coaches Award.
Jones has also played club volleyball for the Rocket City Volleyball Club for five years. Just recently, Jones was named to the Birmingham All-Region squad.
Emily Strader will also join the Trojans for the 2007 season. Jones played at Chaminade-Julienne Catholic High School under head coach Sarah Redman for three years. Strader was on the honor roll all four years at Chaminade-Julienne and was a scholar athlete. Strader plays for the Atlantis Volleyball Club.
Strader's sister, Jessica, played for Troy head coach Sonny Kirkpatrick at Francis Marion and finished 5th on the All-Time Division II list in digs for a career.
We're excited to have these three young ladies join our program. They all come from winning programs and have the ability to help us on the floor right away,? head coach Sonny Kirkpatrick said. We expect big things from them right away.?
