Trojans to Face In-State Foe UAB

Troy (2-4) will try to bounce back after a tough loss to Memphis in last Saturday's Holiday Inn Express Labor Day Classic. The Trojans fell to Memphis by scores of 30-18, 30-27 and 30-11.
This will be the first mid-week match of the season for Troy and will help the Trojans prepare for the Mississippi State Microtel Classic on Friday and Saturday Sept. 8 and 9.
The Blazers are 3-3 heading into the match-up with Troy and beat TCU at the Elon Classic by scores of 20-30, 30-24, 30-16 and 30-18.
The Trojans will turn to sophomore Meghan Washlow and freshman Meghan Gilroy on Wednesday. Washlow and Gilroy helped lead Troy to victory over Alcorn State and UT-Martin last weekend.
Against UT-Martin, Washlow recorded 47 assists and 13 digs to guide the Trojans to victory. In the same match, Gilroy earned a hitting percentage of .300 with 12 kills in 20 attempts.
Troy and UAB will face off at 7 p.m. at Bartow Arena on the campus of UAB.
