9/25/2005 12:00:00 AM | Volleyball
" Our girls did a great job of rallying out there today," interim head coach Michael Izumi said.
"Unfortunately, we couldn't sustain our momentum."
On the attack, Troy (7-5, 1-1) was led by Liz Schaab who amassed 10 kills in the effort.
Defensively for the Trojans, Bridget Reidy chipped in 17 digs.
The Blue Raiders (14-2, 1-1) were led in kills by Vicky Monasterolo who collected 14.
Andressa Lyra and Alicia Lemau'u each had double digit digs for the Blue Raiders.
"Our effort in practice this past week was good," Izumi said. "However, we've got to go back and see how to tweak practice and fix these minor mistakes which cause us to lose momentum."
Troy will be back in action this Friday as the Denver Pioneers (6-5, 0-0) come to Trojan Arena.
Match time is set for 7 p.m. Admission to Trojan volleyball matches is free.
