The Trojan Volleyball Team Earns The Fred B. Davis Award

TROY, Ala. - The Trojan Volleyball Team won the Fred B. Davis Award for achieving the highest team grade point average at Troy. The Volleyball team achieved a team GPA of 3.65 overall with eight of its ten players earning a 3.0 or better.
Senior Amy Brisbin, juniors Holly Martin and Megan Smart, sophomores Kristen Fleming and Kendra Sytsma, and freshmen Claire Murphy, Bridget Reidy, and Eliza Zwettler all earned a GPA of 3.0 or better.
Brisbin, Murphy, Smart and Sytsma all earned a perfect 4.0 to help earn the award for the Trojans. This marks the third year in a row that the Trojans have earned the award.
Brisbin also received several individual awards for her academic accomplishments. She received the Major of the Year Award from the National Association For Sport and Physical Education given to the best student with the highest GPA in the nation.
Brisbin also earned an award from the Kinesiology Health Promotion organization for the best overall student of the year. She also had the highest GPA at Troy for sport and fitness management.
