Trojan Volleyball falls to the Blue Raiders of Middle Tennessee, 0-3

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. -- The Trojan Volleyball team fell victim to outside hitter Dara McLean's third straight double-digit kill performance as McLean and the Blue Raiders of Middle Tennessee defeated the Trojans 3-0.

TROY fell in the first two games of the match 30-20 and 30-18. It was an inspired Trojan team that came out of the locker room for game 3 that fought the entire game only to fall 30-27.

McLean was the star of the match as she led all players with a career high tying 28 kills. Andressa Lyra was second on the team for the Blue Raiders with 14 kills of her own.

TROY was led offensively by Amy Brisbin and Kendra Sytsma who both finished the match with ten kills apiece. Freshman Eliza Zwettler led the team in digs with ten and led in assists with 28.

The Trojans fall to 3-10 on the season while the Blue Raiders improve their record to 4-8. The Trojans will head down to Florida next weekend to take on Atlantic Sun foes Central Florida and Florida Atlantic.
