Administrative Graduate Assistant Naazir Yamini

Naazir Yamini is beginning his second season as an administrative graduate assistant for the Troy football program following an impressive four-year career with the Trojans.
Yamini, an Atlanta, Ga., native, played in 47 of the Trojans' 48 games during his four-year career, starting at linebacker his final 35 games. He led the Trojans in tackles in 2000 with 129 and in 2002 with 118, while finishing second on the team in 2001 with 105. He also ranks fourth in Troy history in career tackles with 374. During his career, Yamini picked up 27 tackles for a loss and had 18 games in which he recorded 10 or more tackles.
He attended Lakeside High School in Atlanta, where he recorded 147 tackles as a senior, earning all-state honors. He is the son of Janice Yamini.
